First of all, I would like to say thank you to the Jr. High Sunday morning class for your help with the decorations at Highway 111! They look awesome!
Lights were glowing, frosty and Rudolph was on the stage, 9-square was lit up, and Christmas music was keeping the festive spirit alive at Highway 111.
This week was the first of a 3 week series talking about Christmas and what it should really mean. We showed you a video from a documentary called “God grew tiered of us” that portrayed several African men who came to America to experience Christmas. They were very confused because of the traditions we had. Trees, lights, presents, shopping, stockings…. What did all of this mean. Check out the video clip here
We asked a question to hopefully allow you to think about how you celebrate Christmas: If someone were to observe you celebrating Christmas, what would they see?
Would they see all the “stuff” that we put in place of Jesus or would they see us celebrating the birth of our King?
Also, 3 words: Baby/Bronco/Backpack… if you missed it I feel so sorry for you!!! So much fun guys!
Check out the game here: Baby Bronco Backpack Congratulations to Haley and Jenna on the win!
Hope to see you all again next Sunday from 6-8p!
