Awake and Alive Experience

Awake and Alive is a experience where Highway 111 takes 7th-12th grade students out into adventurous territories during Labor Day Weekend.

This year we are going to Turkey Run State Park in Marshall, IN from September 2nd-5th.

During the trip, we will be focusing on what it means to be a follower of Jesus. I can’t think of a better place for God to speak to use but through his creation. I pray that as we study together that the students would grasp that they are called to more than just church and Highway 111. God is calling them to greater things, but it starts with them deciding daily to follow Jesus every step of the way. Early in his earthly ministry Jesus called certain men to be with him and to follow him; he called twelve disciples to his side. Though we cannot literally walk with him today, through his Spirit, we have been called by Him as well. We have been called to his side in order that we might be with him, that we might really come to know him, and that we might follow him along the path of discipleship. But the heart of the call of Christ is to be with him and to know him intimately.

1 Corinthians 11:1- Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.

The activities that we will be engaging in will be:
